Joss Whedon 30 Day Meme
Decided to do them all at once ‘cause I haven’t finished any 30-day meme yet.
Day 01. Favorite Whedon show
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (BTVS). I’m re-watching an episode right now. It’s amazing and it shows girl power in true blue Joss Whedon fashion.
Day 02. Favorite female character
I’d go with Faith Lehane. Riveting from the first scene. I re-watch the Buffy and Angel episodes that have her in it. Fantastic story arc.
Day 03. Favorite male character
Spike. SUPER funny and he’s hot.
Day 04. Favorite non-human character
Spike. (Whoever did this meme did not think it through.)
Day 05. Favorite episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Maybe S04E16 Who Are You? (aka Part 2 of Faith & Buffy’s body swap). Lots or runner-ups though, namely Potential, and Anya-centric episodes: Selfless and The Wish.
Day 06. Favorite episode of Angel
S04E14 Orpheus. Faith guest stars.
Day 07. Favorite episode of Firefly
Didn’t watch the entire season so I couldn’t say for certain. xxx had one of the best scenes though when River is about to be torched at the stake and her brother goes up to her, wraps his arms around her, and says, “Light it.” Joss did so much with few words with these series as also evidence in the movie version, Serenity, with “My turn.”
Day 08. Favorite episode of Dollhouse
S01E06-Man on the Street. That’s when I knew Joss was truly at work behind the series. It had the beautiful, emotional storytelling. Plus, it was the first encounter between Eliza’s and Tahmoh’s character with the surprise revelation that there’s a spy in the house. Awesome.
Day 09. Favorite scene/moment of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog

When they killed Tahmoh on Dollhouse. Like, WTF?!

Buffy & Faith seeming to have made up in Buffy’s dream after she put Faith in a coma in season 3. Faith gives Buffy the weapon she needs & awake Buffy leans over to kiss coma Faith on the forehead. Also, when Buffy’s class gives her the protector award in The Prom.
Day 16. A scene/moment that made you cry
When Buffy died in the season 5 finale. When Xander stopped Willow in the season 6 finale.
Day 17. Your favorite ship
Sierra and Victor. I really surprised myself when I realized I was invested in them, even though they’re not the lead couple on the show. (Remember that scene where they said they were going to split them up & ship Sierra to Dubai? Yeah, that part.)

Connor and Cordelia

Serenity. Watch it! Tied with his graphic novels. Not just Fray, but Astonishing X-Men.

Just about anything on BTVS is epic.

Angel in season 2 or Buffy in season 5. Kendra’s a runner-up.
Day 24. Favorite guest star
Girl who played Cassie in S07E04 Help.
